Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-29
This is a developer-drafted starting point and not legal advice. The site owner and a qualified legal adviser must review and finalise it before launch.
Who is responsible for your data
UA Local Netherlands (ualocal.eu), a product of kbconsult.me, is the data controller. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@ualocal.eu (placeholder address — to be confirmed by the owner).
What data we process and why
When you use our contact, suggestion, or report forms we process the name, email address, and message you provide so we can respond and manage listings. Email verification stores your email and a short-lived token to confirm ownership. When you consent to analytics, Google Analytics processes usage data via cookies. We also process IP addresses transiently for anti-abuse rate limiting.
Legal bases
We rely on your consent for analytics cookies (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), on our legitimate interest for anti-abuse rate limiting and operating the directory (Article 6(1)(f)), and on taking steps at your request when you submit a form (Article 6(1)(b)/(f)).
How long we keep data
Email verification records expire after 24 hours. Other submissions are kept only as long as needed for the purpose described above. Concrete retention periods are still to be set by the owner (owner TODO).
Processors we use
We share data with processors acting on our instructions: Google (Google Tag Manager, GA4, and the GA4 Data API), Resend (transactional email), Upstash (rate limiting), ImageKit (image hosting), Vercel (hosting), and Neon (database).
International transfers
Some processors are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data, and to object to or restrict processing. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time via our Cookie Policy. To exercise any right, email privacy@ualocal.eu. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
