Allerzielenconcert — Music for Ukraine, Nuenen

A benefit evening of choral and instrumental music with Oleg Lysenko and Tom Suters, supporting medical aid to Ukraine.

About this event

The Allerzielenconcerten series combines choral and instrumental music with practical support for Ukraine. Artistic director and conductor Tom Suters leads Projectkoor Lux Aeterna and the Valkenswaards Kamerorkest, joined by pianist Rob van Heck, harpist Inge Frimout, soprano Hatice Aydogan and Ramon van den Boom on harpsichord and harmonium. Ukrainian accordionist Oleg Lysenko also performs without a fee.

The programme opens with Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine. Before the interval, the choir performs the Kyrie and Credo from Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, with Mascagni’s intermezzo from Cavalleria rusticana between them. After the interval, Lysenko plays the opening movement of Victor Vlasov’s Gulag, his own Rainbow and Piazzolla’s Libertango. These accordion works are interwoven with Herman Finkers’ St. Joris Mis, bringing themes of remembrance, hope and resilience into the concert.

Proceeds go to Stichting Music for Ukraine, founded by Lysenko, to support ambulances, dental equipment and other medical aid. The organizers aim to donate at least €3,000 through this benefit initiative.

The Nuenen concert takes place on Sunday 8 November 2026 at H. Clemenskerk, Park 53. Doors open at 19:00; the performance starts at 20:00 and is expected to finish around 21:30, local Netherlands time. The organizer warns that some seats in Nuenen have a restricted view of the stage and recommends arriving early.

Tickets cost €25 and are ordered through the organizer’s online form, which offers separate quantities for each concert. Seating is unreserved; choose the correct performance before paying. E-tickets are sent by email after payment. Accessibility arrangements and the language of spoken introductions are not confirmed.
