Closing the Sky — Haarlem screening and Come Back Alive Q&A

A Ukrainian documentary about protecting the skies, followed by a Q&A with Come Back Alive representatives. Ukrainian with English subtitles; ticket proceeds support the foundation.

About this event

Closing the Sky comes to De Filmkoepel in Haarlem on Thursday 5 November 2026 for a documentary screening followed by a live Q&A with representatives of Come Back Alive. Haarlem4Ukraine announces the evening as a charity event: 100% of the ticket price will be donated to the foundation.

Directed by Volodymyr Pashchuck and Khrystyna Lutsyk, the documentary examines Ukraine’s response to aerial attacks since the full-scale invasion in February 2022. It follows the call to “close the sky” through the experiences of military personnel, civilians and people involved in Come Back Alive’s Dronefall project. Their accounts explore the effort to protect cities and infrastructure and the people behind that work.

The film runs for 60 minutes and is presented in Ukrainian with English subtitles. The discussion afterwards offers an opportunity to hear from representatives of Come Back Alive, which has supported Ukraine’s security and defence forces since 2014. The announced programme does not name individual Q&A speakers or specify the language of the discussion.

The screening starts at 18:30, local Netherlands time, at De Filmkoepel, Koepelplein 1b, 2031 WL Haarlem. The film duration does not include the Q&A. Allow additional time for the discussion; the exact finish time is not consistently stated by the organisers.

Book through the cinema’s ticket page, which asks for an email address before showing further booking steps. A ticket amount could not be confirmed from the public information; check the price and availability during booking.
