Makivka is a female vocal ensemble based in Amsterdam dedicated to preserving and sharing the art of Ukrainian traditional polyphony. Their extensive repertoire spans the rich history of Ukrainian folk music, including ancient seasonal carols (Koliadky), spring chants (Vesnianky), harvest songs, and spiritual compositions by Ukrainian composers.
