Dzvinochok & Vognyk — benefit concert in Katwijk
Kyiv youth choirs perform Byzantine-Slavic and Western choral music in support of people wounded in the war in Ukraine. Free admission; donations welcome.
About this event
Kyiv youth choirs Dzvinochok and Vognyk bring their benefit tour to H. Joannes de Doperkerk in Katwijk aan den Rijn. Led by Ruben Tolmachov and Olena Solovey, the singers present Byzantine-Slavic and Western choral repertoire. The concert offers an opportunity to hear Ukrainian young voices while supporting people affected by the war.
Since the full-scale invasion, Dzvinochok has toured together with the girls’ choir Vognyk in an adapted formation. These international performances allow the young singers to continue sharing their musical culture beyond Ukraine and raise funds for people who need assistance.
The Katwijk announcement identifies wounded Ukrainian soldiers and civilians as beneficiaries. Donations support prostheses, operations and practical supplies, including torches and power banks. Visitors can contribute after the concert in cash, by QR code or bank transfer. Choir CDs will also be available for €15.
Thursday 5 November 2026: doors open at 19:00 and the concert begins at 19:30, Europe/Amsterdam. Address: H. Joannes de Doperkerk, Kerkstraat 70, 2223 AJ Katwijk. Admission is free, with a voluntary donation encouraged. No advance booking link or finishing time has been announced.
