Friese Rijders open day — humanitarian aid for Ukraine
Meet the volunteers, discover how relief supplies are prepared for Ukraine and join presentations at the Haulerwijk aid-packing centre.
About this event
Stichting Friese Rijders opens its aid-packing centre in Haulerwijk for a day introducing the people and practical work behind its humanitarian transports to Ukraine. The open day launches the organisation’s autumn and winter campaign, when demand for relief supplies rises again.
Visitors can see how donated goods are collected, processed and prepared for transport, meet volunteers and learn how individuals, companies and organisations can help. Presentations and opportunities to talk with speakers will address the organisation’s work, the situation in Ukraine and how aid reaches its destination. The homepage also announces three seminars with questions and answers and the official opening of the office complex; individual speaker names and a timed programme are not yet published.
Coffee and tea are provided throughout the day. Franky & Coen will be present and serve visitors a free lunch. The invitation is open to everyone, including family, friends, colleagues and people interested in volunteering or supporting the work.
Saturday 7 November 2026, 09:30–15:30, Inpakfabriek Stichting Friese Rijders, Leeksterweg 59, 8433 KW Haulerwijk. No admission price or advance-registration requirement is stated. The free lunch should not be taken as confirmation of free admission. Accessibility and presentation languages are not specified; consult the organiser’s updates before attending.
