Zine workshop with Hanna Hrabarska — ages 13+

Hanna Hrabarska leads a hands-on zine-making workshop within the programme of Power of Words: Odesa City Letters at OBA Oosterdok. A zine is a small handmade book or magazine: an accessible way to combine images and personal ideas in an object you can keep.

After a short introduction, participants photograph their own stories and turn them into a personal booklet to take home. The organiser describes two hours of creativity and making together, with all materials provided. The activity connects photography and storytelling with the exhibition’s broader exploration of how words and images carry cultural memory.

This session is specifically for participants aged 13 to 99, as specified by the organiser. The earlier session is for children aged 6 to 12. Choose the session that matches the participant’s age.

The workshop is on Saturday 12 December 2026, 15:00–17:00, at OBA Expo, OBA Oosterdok, Oosterdokskade 143, Amsterdam. The exhibition itself has free admission, but the programme does not separately state the workshop price or reservation procedure. Check these with Kastanje before planning your visit; the workshop language is also not specified.

Kastanje presents the programme in collaboration with OBA Amsterdam, alongside Serhii Rovynskyi’s exhibition of Ukrainian literary posters and textile works. The exhibition continues until 10 January 2027; this listing is for one workshop session.
