LOOP knowledge event — Towards the future
A day of practical exchange and regional networking for people supporting Ukrainians in reception centres, with a provisional programme on psychosocial support and future planning.
About this event
LOOP’s annual knowledge event brings together people who work with and for Ukrainians in reception centres across the Netherlands. The 2026 theme, “Op weg naar de toekomst” (Towards the future), connects practical psychosocial support with longer-term planning, regional cooperation and the wellbeing of both Ukrainian residents and reception staff.
The organiser, Loket Ontheemden Oekraïne Psychosociale hulp, supports professionals with questions about recognising, preventing and addressing psychosocial difficulties. This day offers space to exchange experience, meet colleagues and explore support approaches that can be applied in reception settings.
The provisional programme includes a keynote, regional networking sessions, workshops, a partner information market and contributions from Ukrainians sharing their experiences of reception in the Netherlands. Listed workshop themes include access to care, older people, addiction, peer support through Ukrainian community spaces, families and children, and accessible initiatives for young people. LOOP Awards will highlight practical initiatives; the day is scheduled to close with music and networking. Workshop content and session choices remain subject to confirmation.
The event takes place on Wednesday 18 November 2026 at Jaarbeurs Utrecht, Media Plaza, Jaarbeursplein 6, 3521 AL Utrecht. Arrival is scheduled for 09:00–09:30, with the programme from 09:30 until 17:00, including the closing networking hour. All times are local Netherlands time.
Register through the organiser’s form to join the participant list. Once the programme is final, registered attendees will receive another form to choose workshops and sessions. The form allows dietary requirements to be supplied and describes fish, vegetarian and vegan lunch options. No participation price is stated in the checked information; free admission should not be assumed. Programme language and specific accessibility arrangements are not explicitly confirmed.
