Music for Ukraine — Den Helder (19:00)

Oleg Lysenko and cellist Maya Fridman perform together at Triade in Den Helder, with a solo appearance by Ukrainian dancer Vira Tsvik. Lysenko’s bayan and Fridman’s cello form the musical centre of this Music for Ukraine benefit programme, bringing music and dance together in support of humanitarian assistance.

The wider event welcomes visitors from 15:00. Children from the music school provide a musical opening programme, while a small market in the foyer offers Ukrainian products, snacks and dishes. It is also an opportunity to meet members of Den Helder’s Ukrainian community. The announcement does not specify the individual compositions or a separate timetable for the dance performance.

Proceeds from tickets, the market, donations and sponsorship go to Stichting Music for Ukraine. Founded by Ukrainian-Dutch musician Oleg Lysenko, the foundation raises funds through concerts for ambulances and other medical and humanitarian supplies for Ukraine.
