Obitsianky Tsiatsianky — Ukrainian comedy

Volodymyr Horianskyi and Viktoriia Bilan bring the Ukrainian comedy «Обіцянки цяцянки» to the Netherlands as part of its European tour. The production follows a married couple who decide to allow each other greater freedom, only to discover that the rules of their experiment are harder to live with than expected.

When the wife takes a lover, their agreement becomes a source of jealousy, revelations and uncomfortable admissions. The staging uses theatre within theatre: the couple play out their own domestic drama before the audience. Farce and emotionally charged exchanges turn a story about an open marriage into questions about promises, trust and what each partner really wants. The performance is presented in Ukrainian.
