Oleg Lysenko — Music for Ukraine benefit, Bodegraven

Oleg Lysenko joins Harmonie de Vriendschap from Woerden and organist Gijsbert Kok for an afternoon benefit concert at Sint Willibrorduskerk in Bodegraven. The programme brings together Lysenko’s bayan, the wind orchestra and the church organ in support of Stichting Music for Ukraine. Mayor Michiel Grauss will open the concert.

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Lysenko has performed benefit concerts to raise money for ambulances and medical aid. This concert continues that effort: the organizer says the proceeds will go entirely towards humanitarian supplies. The musicians are performing without a fee and the church is providing the venue free of charge.

The concert is organized by Music for Ukraine together with the Sint Willibrordus faith community and the participating musicians. After the performance, visitors can stay to talk with one another and the performers. Individual compositions have not yet been announced.

Sunday 15 November 2026, 14:00–approximately 15:30, Europe/Amsterdam. Venue: Sint Willibrorduskerk, Overtocht 18, 2411 BV Bodegraven, as printed on the event flyer. Admission is free; donations to Music for Ukraine are requested and can be made during the concert. The announcement does not provide a ticket or advance-registration link.
