Tosca — Ukraine Chamber Opera & Francis van Broekhuizen (Bussum)

Ukraine Chamber Opera presents Puccini’s Tosca in Bussum with Dutch soprano Francis van Broekhuizen in the title role. The production brings together soloists from Ukrainian opera houses and an orchestra of internationally experienced musicians, offering a meeting between Ukrainian performers and the Dutch opera scene.

Set in Rome in 1800, the drama follows the singer Floria Tosca through a story of love, jealousy, betrayal and political power. The music includes Tosca’s “Vissi d’arte” and Cavaradossi’s “E lucevan le stelle”. Spant! names tenor Maxime Vorocek as Cavaradossi. Jeroen Weierink leads the music and Marc Krone directs, with the company presenting a compact staging focused on the score and relationships between the characters.
