Ukrainian Crafts Studio — instructor training
VATAHA trains ten participants to lead Ukrainian winter craft workshops. Learn three techniques, receive teaching materials, and commit to sharing them through six workshops.
About this event
VATAHA’s Ukrainian Crafts Studio returns with a winter training day for people who want to lead creative workshops in their own communities. The programme is designed for ten proactive participants from South Holland and Zeeland; the application form specifically mentions Middelburg. It is an instructor programme rather than a one-off craft session.
Participants learn to teach three traditions from the Ukrainian seasonal calendar: a Christmas star, a traditional hanging Christmas spider decoration, and a folk icon painted on glass featuring a Christmas angel. The organizers provide step-by-step instruction, teaching guidance and materials for participants to use with their groups.
In return, the public announcement asks participants to run six workshops and submit a short report with photographs. The form confirms that participants should teach the learned topics at their own locations. A shared chat supports questions and exchange afterwards. The registration form also promises travel reimbursement and a shared dinner prepared by Ukrainian House volunteers after the training.
Sunday 1 November 2026, 12:30–18:00, Europe/Amsterdam, at Ukrainian House Rotterdam, Pleinweg 196A, 3083 EV Rotterdam. Apply using the organizer’s form; the advertised group has ten places. No participation fee is stated, so free admission should not be assumed. The programme is organized by VATAHA in partnership with Ukrainian House Rotterdam.
