Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka brings a Ukrainian Christmas story to the stage with music, vivid costumes, comedy and a touch of the supernatural. Vakula’s love for Oksana, Solokha’s intrigues and the Devil’s interference drive an evening built around familiar characters and Christmas traditions.
The current ticket page names Oksana Pekun as Solokha, Andriy Romanenko as Vakula, Volodymyr Yamnenko as the Deacon, Valeriy Astakhov as the Chairman, Vitaliy Chelkanov as Chub, Daria Vinichenko as Oksana and Mykita Marchenko as the Devil. The production is directed by Anatoliy Hnatiuk and produced by Oleg Shpanchuk and Serhiy Chudaev in collaboration with First Repertory Theater, Colosseum Production Center and Comedy Space Production.
