Laurens Christmas Concert for Older People — with ORPHEUS

The Laurens Christmas Concert returns for its fifteenth edition, bringing older people from Rotterdam and the surrounding area together for an evening of seasonal music and company. The programme takes place in the Laurenskerk and includes the Ukrainian male ensemble ORPHEUS from Lviv as part of a wider Christmas concert.

ORPHEUS returns alongside a large choir, soloists and other musicians. A delegation of the Saint Andrews Bagpipeband adds Scottish bagpipe music, while a mobile carillon welcomes visitors at the church entrance. The announcement describes a varied Christmas programme but does not publish an individual song list or the duration of ORPHEUS’s contribution.

Thursday 17 December 2026: doors open at 17:45, the concert starts at 18:30 and the programme is expected to finish around 20:30. Venue: Laurenskerk, Rotterdam; visitor address Grotekerkplein 15, 3011 GC Rotterdam.

Admission is free thanks to funding support, but an advance ticket is required. The allocation reserved for BuurtPas members has already been taken. The organizer still accepts regular requests by email at laurenskerstconcertvoorouderen@gmail.com; include your name, postal address, requested number of tickets and telephone number. A request does not by itself guarantee a place. The concert is intended for older people; no numerical age threshold is stated.
