About this event
Antonii Baryshevskyi presents the 35th edition of SplenDoor to Ukraine at Splendor on Sunday 15 November 2026. Announced as A Picture to Remember, this evening focuses on Ukrainian documentary cinema during the month in which Amsterdam hosts IDFA.
The programme looks back at earlier work by Ukrainian filmmakers who are returning to IDFA with new films. By revisiting films previously selected for the festival, the evening considers how their ways of working and observing reality have developed. It offers a perspective on the continuing evolution of Ukrainian documentary filmmaking.
The venue has not yet announced the complete screening programme. Individual film titles, filmmakers, spoken languages, subtitle arrangements and the finishing time remain to be confirmed; check the original announcement before booking if these affect your visit. The event title alone should not be taken as confirmation of a particular film selection.
The evening starts at 18:00 at Splendor, Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat 116, 1011 LX Amsterdam. Splendor states that doors open 45 minutes before the start, corresponding to 17:15; its bar and cloakroom are open. Times are local Netherlands time.
Standard tickets cost €12. CJP, Stadspas and student tickets are €7, as are discounted member tickets. Use the venue’s event page and ticket options to book and follow programme updates. Image: artwork supplied by Splendor for this event; individual image creator not credited.
