The seventh Ukraine Benefit Milonga brings seven hours of tango to Van Houtenkerk in Weesp. DJ Erdi Arslan plays from 16:00 to 19:30, followed by Gregor Tangonaut until 23:00. Ukrainian musicians Dmytro Shyshov and Irina Kolomiets will contribute two live tango pieces.
There is no entrance fee: visitors choose their donation. Hosts cover organizational costs and divide donations equally among three Ukrainian volunteer initiatives: Julia and Mik’s medical and life-saving supplies; Natalia Shylova’s volunteer work, including psychological support; and Bella Eva with Ivanov Oleksii’s support for tango friends at the front. The first six editions raised €66,180 according to the organizers.
Snacks are provided, drinks can be purchased at the bar and water is free. The venue has a wooden dance floor. Weesp station is around 13 minutes away on foot; the organizer also identifies free parking at P&R Leeuwenveldseweg 5F, approximately a 15-minute walk.
