The Zoryanytsia bandura ensemble from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv performs in Utrecht as part of its European tour, a programme presented as both cultural sharing and an act of solidarity with Ukraine.
The ensemble brings together around 40 women musicians and singers. Their repertoire spans Ukrainian sacred and folk songs, carried by the bandura, a traditional multi-stringed instrument that is one of the emblems of Ukrainian musical culture.
The concert takes place at St. Aloysiuskerk, a striking domed church on Adriaen van Ostadelaan in Utrecht. Admission is free.
