Children of Heroes Foundation

The Children of Heroes Foundation was established on 3 March 2022 by businessman Danylo Pasko, who lost his own father as a child, together with a team of Ukrainians, public figures and entrepreneurs who wanted to help children who lost one or both parents in the full-scale war. By May 2026, more than 17,000 children were under its care.

The foundation offers comprehensive, long-term support built around each family’s needs, including psychological counselling for children and guardians, help with medical costs (tests, medicines, consultations), online learning and classes, children’s camps, educational equipment, clothing and essentials, university-admission preparation, legal assistance, holiday food parcels and gifts, and help for older beneficiaries and guardians in finding work.

To ensure transparency, it has a Supervisory Board in Ukraine and representative offices with their own boards in the United States and the Netherlands (a nine-member board in the Netherlands). The foundation runs on charitable donations from individuals, Ukrainian and international companies and organizations, and organizes activities such as the international Run for Children of Heroes.
