Founded in 2022, the Ukrainian Women Refugees Association (UWRA) is a grassroots community dedicated to supporting displaced Ukrainian women in the Netherlands. Operating in close partnership with Stichting AVSiMH, UWRA provides a safe and welcoming environment where women can connect, share experiences, and access vital mental health support. The organization hosts regular meetings and workshops at Buurthuis Combiwel in Amsterdam's De Pijp neighborhood, fostering social cohesion and mutual aid. Beyond physical gatherings, UWRA maintains an active digital support network via Telegram and Instagram, helping members navigate life in a new country. Their activities range from psychological counseling groups to cultural events and skill-building workshops, all aimed at empowering women and facilitating their integration into Dutch society.
